About Me

My Story: I'm just a soon-to-be Mom who loves to create. I'm 20-something, living in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I was born in California, but moved here when I was 2 years old. My Mom was one of those home-makers that was always making stuff for us. Pajama pants, blankets, swim suits, dresses for school formals, skirts for church.. you name it. She taught me how to sew when I was about 12 years old, and I was hooked.

Hubby and I - Early 2007, during the "homewrecker" stage.
Our Story: We met as little kids through our families. His great uncle's twin brother, became my Dad's best friend. I avoided him for the first 14 years of my life. After all, he was an icky boy! I couldn't stand him. Then one random day, at a church youth activity, I realized that the 'icky boy' was in fact extremely attractive. High school began, he was a year older than me. I started half-stalking him by watching all his soccer games. Eventually he caught on and we became one of 'those couples' that every high school has. The couple that everyone says will never break up. We did eventually break up near the end of his senior year. I was stupid, and I wanted to have some freedom. Dumb move. After two years of pathetic failed relationships, I went back to him. There was a catch though, he had a girlfriend.. but he wasn't happy in that relationship anymore. She wasn't a good fit for him at all. So I became the homewrecker that everyone hates. We talked every day, he visited me at work, we went out to lunch several times a week.. Eventually he broke up with her, and that afternoon, under a bridge down by the river, we had our second first kiss. I know it's cheesy, but I definitely felt the fireworks. Everything from High School was back ten times over. We were engaged 2 months later, and married before the end of the year. It has been over three years since our wedding day, and I haven't regretting a single thing. He is my biggest fan, and gives me more support than anyone else. I wouldn't be where I am today without him.
